Dave doesn't do what "everyone" does. He is unique!

10. Dave is an American who has lived in Germany for over 13 years.

He uses his language, history & cultural knowledge, as well as his vast

travel experience to create super port experiences.  Most of his German

friends are impressed that he has seen & discovered more of Germany than

they have!

9. As an "auslander" he has a unique perspective to offer on differences of 

every day life in Germany...from health care, politics and schooling to 

working conditions, the economy and grocery shopping!

8. Dave is pretty damn funny.  Hope you like to laugh!

7. He is also kind of fat which means he isn't too athletic.  Hope you don't walk faster than him or 

try to steal any "pommes" from his lunch plate!  He might make you the butt of his 

jokes for the rest of the day!

6. Dave is a cruiser, too!  He's been on over 75 cruises so far and knows what

cruisers like, what they hate, what they are afraid of (missing the ship) and how 

to make sure they see a lot and make the most of their port time!

5. When you get back to the ship and all your cruise mates are complaining about how 

tired they are, how hot it was on the train for 3 hours each way, and how rushed they 

were - yet didn't really see much in depth, you will be able to brag that you feel invigorated 

from your day, saw so much you will need to look at your pictures again to remember it all, and you had the best food of the entire cruise!

4. Dave only accepts 16 people per tour group!  You get personal attention. So there

aren't any chances for "that one couple who can't tell time" to mess you up, you

get to meet your tour mates and make great friends along the way!

3. Dave knows the pitfalls to avoid while travelling in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in the

summer (and the height of the German school vacation).  You won't be stuck in

traffic jams on 2 lane roads, left behind because the train ticket machines were out of order 

or Deutsche Bahn changed tracks last minute and only makes

announcements in German!

2. Dave's tour and cruise style are simple... he doesn't try and rush you to 4 or 5

cities in one day just so you can say you were there.  He thoughtfully chooses sites

based on their beauty, interest level, connection to the rest of your Baltic cruise

itinerary, and the quality of each establishment. He also makes sure you have time

to stop and smell the roses; after all...you are on vacation!
